Trees: A Photographic Study in Determination is a portfolio of photographs that succinctly depict the struggle to survive in harsh, difficult conditions. I have an affinity for this subject as I see it as a metaphor for not just my life's history, but the life histories of millions who have worked, sweat, face seemingly insurmountable hardships, and yet are still surviving, even thriving in the landscape of their lives.
